2024 TTPA Event Calendar
TTPA hosts a variety of events throughout the year. There is usually one workday and one special event each month. Activities provided include trail rides, riding competitions, educational lectures, annual member meetings and the Annual Dinner Party in January.
The organized workday is normally on a Saturday and it is when volunteers work on the trail maintenance. All members are encouraged to come to workdays when they can. The trail depends on volunteers to keep it in good working condition.
The list below is the working schedule for 2024. These dates are subject to changes and cancellations if weather is bad. The location will be announced on the TTPA Facebook page and this website a week or two before the workday.
Trail Ride Notes:
- Unless otherwise noted, trail rides will begin at Brockdale Park. Times listed are “ride-out” times, so arrive early to allow time for tacking up, etc. If the ride is cancelled for inclement weather, we’ll announce if there is a rain date for the following Saturday.
- Current paperwork with a Negative Coggin’s Test result will be required of each horse. Horses without current paperwork will NOT be allowed to participate. This requirement is for the safety of the other horses on the ride.
Work Days:
Workday locations will be determined as the date approaches depending on the needs of the Trail at that time.
Workdays will begin at 9am, except for “beat the heat” workdays in June/July/Aug/Sept (8am). Workdays may start later in the day during winter months, depending on forecast.
